Tonight I attended a party at Tory Burch at Ala Moana Shopping Center to kick off the Junior League of Honolulu‘s Sacs in the City Event. Tory Burch is the sponsor of the fashion show at the upcoming Sacs and the City on March 5th.

There were a lot of people shopping and mingling!

With Mike, Emi, and Melissa!

With Bessie and cool guy in a pink shirt..  !

We had to take a picture together because she had a huge flower in her hair and I had a huge bow! =)

This Tory Burch bag was so soft! (It’s the white one in the picture)

Nice silver clutch

Sparkly and metallic shoes..

Cute pink elf-like sandals!

Belts..

I love this mini umbrella! Very cute.

This was one of the foods they were serving. Spicy ahi over rice with avocado hidden on the bottom. Delicious! I ate 3 of them. =P

Super blogger Melissa deciding which sunglasses to wear..

The sunglasses are so cool because they are foldable!! I took video of it.

Eyelash Extensions from Terra By Afloat Salon

22 Jan

Terra By Afloat is a new Japanese hair salon and spa that just opened recently. It is located on Pensacola street right behind The Wedding Ring Shop. You can either look for street parking or get validated parking in the parking lot behind Gyukaku and The Pancake house.

My friend told me that celebrities like Ayumi Hamasaki go to the one in Japan so I decided to check it out!

I decided to try out their eyelash extensions since they were pretty cheap ($100) compared to other places. Other salons charge around ($200-$300).

Rena is their eyelash extension person. She is very nice and explained all about the different types of styles they can get. You can choose from either “cute” ,  ”sexy” or “glamorous” look. You also choose whether you want thick or thin lashes, or “J” or “C” curve. The difference between J and C is that C is more curved but it doesn’t last as long as J because J curve can be placed a little bit closer to the root of your lashes.  You can also customize by mixing and matching the styles to achieve the perfect look you want.

I decided to get the “Cute” look with a mix of thick and thin lashes with the “J’ curve.

The whole process took about 2 hours. A long time but they individually attach the lashes to your natural lash. Also it’s a great time to catch up on sleep and take a nice nap.

I really liked how my lashes turned out. They look very pretty and long but still natural looking! They make my eyes look like cute doll eyes. They’re so nice that I go out of my way to find a mirror just so I can stare and blink at myself like a narcissist.

I love that I don’t have to curl my lashes or put mascara on anymore yet they still looks really good!

The service at Terra is really great. Everyone is nice and friendly.  I really liked the green tea and all the Japanese candy that they gave.

They also do massages, facials, haircuts and color and more.

Result:

*It’s been a little over 7 weeks now and my eyelashes still look great! I didn’t even need to do touchups yet. I love them so much I will continue getting them.
